1 General data processing

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

However, the following privacy policy is also aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), insofar as this is relevant to us. The provisions of the GDPR only apply in relation to users from the EU.

2. processing of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, processing, disclosure, procurement, storage, modification and deletion of personal data.

Legal basis

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law, in particular the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG).
If and insofar as the EU GDPR is applicable, we also process personal data on the following legal bases in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) GDPR:

  • Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
  • Processing of personal data for the fulfilment of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures
  • Processing of personal data for the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or under the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is fully or partially applicable.
  • Processing of personal data for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

Festival Strings Lucerne collects personal data that we receive when you contact us or as part of our contractual relationship with you. This is the following data

Where necessary, we pass this personal data on to our IT and telecommunications providers and our accounting department, insofar as this facilitates the execution of the transaction you have requested with us and serves the purpose of better fulfilling your wishes. External service providers (processors) are carefully selected and commissioned by us, they are bound by instructions and are regularly monitored. With your consent, we may also pass on personal data to other persons or authorities.


Data security

When processing data, we use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties.


Duration of storage of personal data, deletion

We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or purposes. We store the data in compliance with the statutory retention periods or on the basis of legitimate interests. Stored data is deleted by us when it is no longer required for the stated purpose.

With regard to the deletion of data, it should be noted that we are subject to certain legal obligations, which stipulate a retention obligation for certain data. We must fulfil this obligation. If you request the deletion of data that is subject to the statutory retention obligation, the data will be blocked in our system and only used to fulfil the statutory retention obligations. After the retention period has expired, your request for deletion will be complied with.

In principle, data subjects have a right to information, a right to data correction and deletion of their data, as well as a right to data disclosure or transfer in accordance with the FADP. 4 Rights of the data subject according to GDPR Art. 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 77 GDPR

You have the right:

  • in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, to withdraw your consent once given to us at any time
  • in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us
  • in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to immediately request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us
  • in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims
  • to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another controller
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence for this purpose

Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to object, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her or to withdraw consent previously given. In the event of objection or revocation, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. To exercise your right of objection/revocation, you can contact the data protection officer directly.


5. newsletter | ticket shop
Newsletter

If you register for our newsletter, we will use the e-mail address you provide exclusively for sending the requested information and will not pass it on to third parties.

After you have given your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter, you can revoke this at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe link" in the newsletter.

Ticket shop

We process the data of our customers in accordance with the data protection provisions of the Federal Government (Data Protection Act, DSG) and the EU GDPR as part of the ordering processes in our ticket shop in order to enable them to select and order the selected products and services as well as their payment and delivery or processing.

Categories of personal data collected and processing purposes

The processed data includes master data (inventory data), communication data, contract data, payment data and the persons affected by the processing include our customers, interested parties and other business partners. The processing is carried out for the purpose of providing contractual services in the context of operating a ticket shop, billing, delivery and customer service.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data in accordance with the above statements on general data processing and the following statements. This website can generally be visited without registration. Data such as pages accessed or names of files accessed, date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly related to your person. If personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible.
